Returns Policy
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers items that are faulty or incorrect at the time of delivery or you have changed your mind on receiving the items.
If your item was working at the time of delivery and has subsequently become faulty then please refer to our Warranty Policy.
2. Introduction
At Solar 4 RVs, we endeavour to assist you to choose products that are compatible and appropriate for your needs. Although we make every effort to provide as much advice as possible but we are limited by the information we receive from you. Please choose carefully when purchasing, as we may not be able to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
We recommend you immediately inspect any items that we deliver to you or that you collect to ensure you are completely satisfied that the goods are of acceptable quality, and match the description we have provided to you.
Please contact us to discuss the return of the item and have your invoice number ready so we can process your request. We will not accept postage or courier charges that have not been arranged by us unless it has been approved by us prior to item being returned.
3. If you receive a faulty item
If you receive a faulty item, you must notify us within 7 days after delivery confirmation. We will either repair, replace or refund the item including postage costs.
If replaced, and the original item is required to be returned to us, the original item must be returned before a replacement item will be dispatched. In case of a faulty item, Solar 4 RVs will cover the return postage costs.
If we cannot repair or replace your item we may offer you a similar alternative or refund your purchase.
4. If you received an incorrect Item
If you receive an incorrect item, you must contact us in the first instance. The item can be returned on the condition that it is unused and unopened with the original packaging intact so please carefully check all items are correct immediately after receiving your order.
5. If you wish to return or exchange an item
We can provide free returns for store credit exluding the postage costs for items returned to us within 30 days. The return postage costs must be covered by the customer. Solar 4 RVs is responsible for damage during the transit to the customer, the customer is responsible for damage during transit during the return trip. Please keep this risk in mind when making a return, if you require shipping insurance, we can arrange it on your behalf, please contact us before arranging shipping.
For special order items and custom made products including but not limited to: pre-wired boards, cables, solar panels with options such as eyelets and bi-adhesive backing, change of mind returns cannot be accepted. Please ensure these products are correct when placing your order.
If a refund instead of store credit is required, an administration, re-stocking and transaction fee will apply, generally 15-20% of the order total with a minimum fee of $10.
For wholesale customers, generally speaking we do not provide refunds if you change your mind and no longer want the item, this includes if the item is not compatible with your equipment or you ordered the wrong part accidentally. At our discretion, we may offer provide a refund for items excluding a 20% restocking fee and shipping costs on the item. For an exchange to be considered the item you purchased must be unused and unopened with the original packaging intact.
Change of mind returns will only be accepted once for an order, if an item is returned, and a replacement item is purchased instead, Solar 4 RVs will not accept returns on the replacement item.
6. What we do not refund
Please note that we do not refund:
- returned items that are lost in transit or damaged in transit - the customer is responsible for the safe shipping of the parcel to us, we can arrange shipping insurance, please contact us before arranging shipping
- delivery costs of the original purchase
- insurance charges
